Alex Whiley

Hi, my name is Alex Whiley and I live in a small village in Bedfordshire with my husband and two small boys. Travel runs in our family, most of my family were in the Royal Navy travelling around the world, my husband is a pilot, and I was actually made in Hong Kong!

 

Around 24 years ago I started working for a multi-national travel agency, starting as a trainee, and ten years later I became Regional Manager. During this time I made the most of every opportunity to increase my product knowledge by going on managers conferences and familiarisation trips to some beautiful parts of the world.

 

My two favourite destinations are The Maldives and New York, obviously for completely different reasons. The Maldives are breathtakingly beautiful, like nowhere else in the world. The islands offer complete luxury and relaxation. And New York is magical, especially at Christmas time when I feel like I am taking part in an enchanted movie.

 

I have always loved travel and offering great customer service. My customers have my mobile phone number, so they can contact me whenever is convenient to them. I go above and beyond just booking their holiday - I check people in to their flights, email the hotels with special requests and can contact local restaurants to make reservations. So more of a 'ribbon wrapped service' than the average travel agent, I pride myself on offering a bespoke travel service.
